After being on vacation for a week, I have fallen off the weight loss wagon. Losing 27 lbs in 13 weeks with the help of Weight Watchers (3rd or 4th time member, I lose count) our little family reunion/vacation was the large bump in the road that threw me off. After a week of not tracking, not exercising and not paying attention to the amount of ice cream I ate, I decided that Monday (today) is the day, I get back into it. I've got 40ish lbs left to lose, so I'm starting the week off right. Weighed in yesterday and gained 1.2 lbs, making the total weight loss to date, 26 lbs. At least it wasn't 3 like I thought it was going to be, but still not horrible for what was consumed last week. Today I am starting my day off with a Weight Watchers Milk Shake (WW Coconut Smoothie mix, 1 cup FF milk, 1 banana, blended), I am quite surprised at how well it tastes, and it counts as 2 milks! Yay! I hate milk so getting it in wherever I can is a bonus for me, and well... ice cream with peanut butter (my choice of milk serving) should be a once in a while kind of thing not an every night one like it has been the last week. I am also planning on joining a friend who teaches a step class at a local gym to get in those activity points and to boost my metabolism. If you've had a bad week, bad day, or even a bad meal don't fret... everyday is a new day to start over and start fresh. The whole weight loss thing for me is about planning and having point friendly foods at my fingertips. So clean out the pantry, plan your meals, and get in some exercise, you'll be happy you did and you'll feel much better!
This weeks Meal Plan:
Grilled Chicken Spinach Salad
Grilled Chicken Skewers with veggies and roasted red potatoes
Chicken Sausage and veggies Silver Dollar City style
Make your own pizza night
Taco Salad
Steak and baked potatoes
Grilled cheese with shells and cheese

You're gonna start a what?!?
Yea, that was kind of my husbands reaction to this whole bloggy thing. His next question was, "Is it a private one?". Not private honey, public to the world to read! (World might be a little large, but I know my mom will read it at least.)
Never in a million years would I have thought that by the age of 29 (well, in 2 weeks), that I would be married to my high school sweetheart (of 7 years and counting), have 3 amazing blessings from the Lord above (whom I get to stay home with all day every day because of my wonderful Rock), and be well on the road of parenthood/adulthood. Being a work-at-home mom I see, hear, and even do the strangest things. Breastmilk for scratches? Say what?! Yes, it works, and heals them in record time!
My days went from being filled with managing rental properties to changing dirty diapers and chasing toddlers. Instead of the normal "Good job" talks I'd give fellow employees, it's now "Yay! You went poopy in the big boy potty!" to our son. The lady I am today is much different from the girl I was 7 years ago. Although making the big bucks was nice (and having all the toys), nothing compares to the reward of getting to raise your children and instill your family's values and morals in them, day in and day out. Being home with the kids is much much MUCH harder then any desk job I have ever done. At times it gets stressful and during the those times, you can find me in my closet, in the dark, with a nice bottle of Mascato! (Mommy's Time Out)
So, with that said, this blog will be about all kinds of interesting things. From breastmilk cures to weight loss success, I will fill you in on all the fun things going on in my life, the kids lives, and heck, even the dogs life! (Poor girl, just got home from the doggy hospital where she cost this Mama and Daddy a pretty penny. She's all better and on a bland diet, but she's recovering nicely.
Little KK is up from her nap and needing some cuddle time, until next time ya'll, have a blessed Saturday!
Teaser: I am taking a 4 week cake decorating class, just completed class 2 of 4, and will have to write about that later. The fish cake I decorated is, well, let's just say my 2 year old could have done a better job! Cake decorating is not for the crafty mom who thinks she can tackle anything! It's a form of art.
