Well, it's been a little while since I last blogged. I thought once starting this I would come here daily and blog about the highlight of our day, then thought once I skipped a day or two that I would do it weekly, and now, well, it's been awhile since I posted anything! So, with that said, here is an update on the Chappell family. Baby Donovan just turned 5 months old, Mama Chappell turned the big 2-9 (Oh lawdy) and summer is winding down to an end. The weather here in OK has been miserably hot, like 115 degrees hot, so we've been staying indoors and are driving each other crazy. We spent last weekend with my brother and his gang on my parents new houseboat. Thank goodness they got a bigger one since we had 2 families of 5, 2 grandparents, and 2 dogs! Everyone had a bed to sleep in and it didn't feel crowded once! The kids loved swimming and the older ones even went off the slide. It was great to make some memories with them and let the kids spend some time together since we don't get to see them very often. Hoping to change that though this fall.
This week Daddy Chappell has been on vacation, and we are doing what poor folks like us like to call a Staycation, where we doing something fun every day, then get home for naps and feedings. Monday we did pizza lunch and a movie with big brother and nana came to watch the little 2. Then Tuesday bowled (for some reason when I think of bowling, I start singing the song in Grease 2 where they bowl, "we're gonna scccooooorrrrre tonight, we're gonna sccccoooooorrrrreee toooniiiight, we're gonna rock, we're gonna roll, we're gonna bop, we're gonna bowl, we're gonna score score score score score.... tonight!" end jazz hands). Then today we are going to Incredible Pizza for lunch and games, then Thursday is up in the air, and closing the week at the lake before heading home for a Thirty-One open house vendor event.
School starts in 17 days, but who's counting? :) This mama is! B and K will both be going to preschool 3 days a week, so I am hoping to focus on lil D and maybe try to devote some time to this thing I like to do called Real Estate!
