Nap Time Craft Time Thursday... and update!

So, I haven't been very good at logging on and blogging about our lives, the oh so exciting activities we having going on, the many melt downs we have in a day, or about the tiniest milestones Little D is having (which I know you care about!)... so I decided while the kids were still sleeping I would log on and catch you up on the Chappell House!

The kids' shirts
Little D is big 8 months old and rolling around our house like crazy.Although I think he could crawl if he wanted he chooses not too, as rolling is much more fun. KK is growing up more and more each day, we have started potty training and conquered the big P in the potty yesterday! WOOHOO!!! B will be turning 4 soon, and we are gearing up for his party this weekend. (I get ot bake 48 cupcakes today!) He loves preschool and cannot wait to see what Santa brings him this year, since he's been good, reported by him.

Ombre Scarf
I've been busy making things this week, as Preschool had Peace Day and it was wear your Tye Dye day. The kids helped me and we had so much fun. So much, that I have become obbsessed with dying things.

Thursday Nap Time Craft Time included a freezer paper screening session for B's 4th B-day! I am so pleased with how it turned out and hope you love it as much as I do!

Items needed for Freezer Paper Screening:
  • Freezer Paper
  • Printer
  • Spray Adhesive (optional)
  • 1 sheet of paper (optional)
  • Shirt of choice
  • Image of choice
  • Damp Sponge
  • Metal Spoon
So, if you choose to adhere your freezer paper to the printer paper, by all means please do gluing the paper side down, so waxey side is up, then cut freezer paper to size.

Pick the image you wish to use, I used an image found on Google Images, then uploaded it to PicMonkey.com where I then used the edit options to add the "4". Save it on your computer then upload to publisher software, I used Microsoft Publisher. Here you will then "flip" the image so it's a mirror image.

Place freezer paper in feeder tray of printer and print off image. Print on waxy side. DO NOT TOUCH THE INK, IT WILL SMEAR

Lay out your shirt flat on hard surface.

Take your damp sponge and dampen the area you are placing the image, where the image will be. DO NOT DRENCH.

Lay your freezer paper image side down (waxy side), and rub the entire image with back of metal spoon for around 30 seconds pressing lightly but not too hard.

Gently pull of freezer paper, and YOU DID IT!!!!

Hang to dry!

Now, I have not washed/dryed the shirt yet so I am not sure if it's a one time deal, but will let you know Sunday when I wash clothes!

Happy Screening!

Hope you all have a fantastic weekend, as I am off to make 36 favor treat bags, 48 cupcakes and 1 crockpot meal for Morrion Girls Pinterest Night!

Blessings!
